Hello friends! *echoes off the walls*
Not only echoing because nobody's reading (if you are, COMMENT bitches), but also because of the carvernous house that no furniture resides in yet, but prettyPRETTY floors. With new lighting! Behold:
We got a gorgeous granite to tile the hearth with, but I still need to figure out what to do with the facade of this Boogie Nights-nightmare of a fireplace. I'm thinking paint, most likely a dark color, but mostly out of laziness. Anybody got an idea, I'm all ears.
Improvement, no? So now begins the daunting task of moving our furniture back upstairs which, woe upon my back. But it will be sooo worth it, or so everybody tell me. Also, I have to now convince the hubs that our frat house reject sofa will SO NOT DO with our floors, and therefore I must have a new one. Perfectly logical argument, that. Especially with the bills from the flooring and electrical guys in mind.
But do our fearless homeowners know no bounds? Apparently not, because then it suddenly seemed like a good idea to forge on ahead into the kitchen and foyer with tile. Nevermind the fact that we have no intention of touching the kitchen remodel for at least a couple of years, as this room will be the real money pit.
Say it along with me....MO.RONS.
